As I was driving over Twin Peaks in San Francisco, this bird was posing for groups of enthralled bike-riders and hikers.

by harrietbrown of this photo that I took in the fall of 2001. urbpan and i were on a bike ride through the park and we encountered a young red tail feasting on a mallard. urbpan stayed and watched while I ran to the nearest convenience store to buy a cheap disposable camera. I took this picture on this morning's dog walk. I noticed the red tail swooping into the tree and a troop of blue jays following. I was just wanting to get a photo of the hawk, but I got a jay in there as well.
